Meet Saturday Night Live’s (Hopefully) Future Host: Cookie Monster!

Posted by on September 5, 2013 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Those of us who grew up on Sesame Street know Cookie Monster as a diehard cookie fanatic bordering on glutton (though he prefers the term “cookie enthusiast”) and we greatly love him for it. But sometimes, a guy’s gotta branch out. And so, Cookie Monster felt that the logical next step in his career was to host Saturday Night Live. In pursuance of this goal, he released an audition tape to Youtube in an effort to rouse fan support on social media the way Betty White unwittingly did around the same time. Incredibly, Cookie’s performance is probably better than a typical showing of SNL anyway, what with stirring segments like “Macarooner” or “Monster Gaga.” Cookie jokes are implied. Sadly, almost three years later, and Cookie Monster has yet to host SNL, although he did make an appearance in December 2010 to sing a Christmas song with Jeff Bridges (which is admittedly awesome in an of...

How to Properly Mess Up One’s Lines

Posted by on September 3, 2013 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Whether you love anime or hate it, you have to admit that the favored cartoon of Japan certainly has its own style. Anime is characterized by generally more adult themes than Western cartoons (even the ones targeted at children,) and mostly a far more serious mindset than a Western audience might be used to. However, if you look a little deeper, you can start to see the funny side. In the English dubbed version of the popular anime FullMetal Alchemist, the DVD extras included a “blooper reel” that featured the voice actors, usually sounding so serious and purposeful, either goofing off in the booth or just plain messing up their lines. Not only are they hilarious even if you aren’t familiar with the show, but they also show that not everything about anime is dramatic fight sequences and over the top poses. (Does contain some “adult” language and assorted naughty words, so fair...

Even the King of Karate Slips Sometimes: Jackie Chan Bloopers

Posted by on August 31, 2013 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Jackie Chan is one of Hollywood’s true icons: the unrivaled master of slapstick kung-fu. He has entertained audiences over the years with his unique brand of action and comedy, using unlikely props and complicated martial arts moves to defeat an army of movie villains. It only lends to his fame that he performs all his own stunts in every movie he stars in, which is really funny when you consider he started his career as a stunt double in Bruce Lee movies. However, as good as Jackie is, sometimes things go hilariously wrong. Thankfully for us, most Jackie Chan movies include a blooper reel, which, when not poking fun at Jackie’s rather tenuous command of the English language on occasion, always include more than a few do it yourself Jackie stunts that don’t quite come off as planned. They have the taste to not show the film of Jackie hurting himself (he has broken almost every breakable part in his body, and bruised the ones that can’t break) but the ones they do show are always side stitchingly chuckle worthy. Now enjoy the amassed blooper reels of the Rush Hour trilogy, arguably Jackie’s best...

Stop What You Are Doing, Turtles Are Dancing

Posted by on August 29, 2013 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Hey, do you remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live action movies? It’s funny, no one ever admits they went to see them, but together the three early ‘90s movies made well over $300 million dollars, which back in those days, was considered a smashing success, so obviously SOMEONE knows what I’m talking about. And now, onto the video. One of the more talented Youtube artists has painstakingly created this video remixing some, shall we say, “choice” moments from the aforementioned Turtle movies with a ripping trance song, and well, made a masterpiece. One might stare in awe at how well the Turtles can dance, or how they’ve made their way to a rave at some point and are tearing up the floor with their sweet moves, but what makes it comical is that all of this footage was taken from the movies, which means at some point during all that ninja fighting, the Cowabunga Dudes actually stopped off to get their club on, although they probably didn’t have as good of a soundtrack to dance to as in this video. A slight warning about watching this though: you probably won’t be able to stop watching after one playthrough. More like 4 or 5, or if you’re the author of this entry, two dozen. What can I say? Turtles are...

The Amazing Wonders of the GROpener

Posted by on August 26, 2013 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

There’s just something funny about people self-pitching their own stuff. Granted, it’s even funnier when said product absolutely sucks, or said pitchman is absolutely awful at pitching much of anything. But even if the product in question is actually useful, said videos can still be pretty funny — as evidenced above. Now, all funny and making fun of things aside, this is actually a really cool invention. Indeed, it may even be the future of bottle openers or the like. However, it’s just the super-serious way the guy tries to go about selling and demonstrating the product that really got me. Or at least got me laughing. Maybe absolutely no one else at all will find this humorous, but you know what? That’s totally fine. Did you hear me? That’s TOTALLY fine. DO YOU WANT TO FIGHT ABOUT IT? HUH? Sorry, I got a bit too riled up there. Sometimes I go into violent rages. I tend to do that on Wednesday’s, no idea why. I also tend to do it when I see examples of parenting fail in a public place. But yeah, go ahead and watch the video above and feel free to leave comments detailing just how unfunny it actually is in the comments. I can’t wait to scathingly reply to them so let’s get the party...

Street Fighter II “Best of Church Edition” Starring Benny Hinn

Posted by on August 24, 2013 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

It’s really messed up when you think of how some fraudsters and con men use religion to scam people out of money and whatnot. And it’s even scarier when you see clips of these church services where people are passing out and falling down on top of each other. It almost looks like they’re high and they’re just tweaking out. Naturally, what you do when you have a multitude of these clips is to dub and graphic over them with Street Fighter II music and graphics. And what you have, as we see above, is absolutely, positively hilarious. Really, it’s almost too perfect — as if it was made or acted out specifically for this purpose, isn’t it? It’s crazy. So anywho, simply do yourself a favor and go watch the video above. It really is quite amazing, hilarious and a tad unnerving all at the same time. But in a totally, awesome and hilarious way. If that even makes any...

The Real Story Behind Ted From How I Met Your Mother’s Kids

Posted by on August 23, 2013 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

There are a lot of differing opinions on the show How I Met Your Mother. Some people think it’s hilarious, while others would rather pry their eyes out with heated daggers than watch another episode of the show. Since the premise resides around the main character, Ted, ultimately telling his kid’s the convoluted story of how he met their mother, well… the above video seems to hit all the right marks and is pretty darn funny. It really has been almost eight years now and Ted has still yet to tell his kids how he’s actually met their mother or who their mother even is. Instead, they get these inane little self-contained tales that are mostly about Barney and never get to the root of the matter whatsoever… it’s like if Definitely Maybe had gone on for one thousand years too long (and let’s face it, that movie went on for several hours too long as it...

Posted by on August 22, 2013 in Featured | 0 comments

The more I browse the Internet, the more I realize how terrible some people are at raising their children. Yes, parenting fail is rampant. And thanks to the Internet, we now have documentation for posterity of said parental errors, and of course for the far more important reason of making sure they’re available for strangers like you to laugh at. So, enjoy some of the juicier tidbits brought to you courtesy of MyBadParent.com and check out the hilarious book based on the site as well. 1. Now  Served Over Rice Introducing the Baby Silencing Pan! Just place squalling child inside of pan and place in oven for guaranteed results in five minutes or less! You know, I wonder if the person responsible for this realizes that the “Eat Babies” Internet Meme wasn’t meant to be taken literally. 2. Chuggin’ Like a Pro A kid’s just not a kid unless he can down one in five seconds or less. Breast feeding hasn’t really been the same since Spring Break ’11. 3. Extreme Air Pollution Requires Extreme Measures Silly Dad, everyone knows airbags aren’t approved for children under 12. He actually did have his heart in the right place though: this was the only way to keep the little imp from sneezing all over his windscreen. 4. Sick Burn, Bro! The worst part of this picture is that no one knows he’s actually being possessed by a ghost. Well, he’s going to get secondhand smoke anyway, might as well give him the rush to go with the lung cancer. 5. Child Restraints have Never Gone So Wrong Yeegads! Why isn’t that child wearing a helmet! Pssh, so unsafe. Its not what you think: Mom’s just training her son for an adulthood of weird fetishes. Can’t get enough photos of extreme parenting fail? Then you’ll love the book based on MyBadParent.com, available at Amazon and other fine retailers. And now, to wrap up this fine mess of parenting, allow me to share with you a story of terrible parenting in action. I once knew a man, we’ll call him Winston, who had two children: an 8 year old daughter and a 12 year old son. Now Winston, he was a nice guy, problem was, he wasn’t exactly worthy of fatherly praise, if you know what I mean. He liked to play pranks on his children, except they weren’t the kind of pranks one should really pull on their children, or for that matter, anyone at all. He once dyed his daughter’s hair orange while she was asleep, then told her later the reason her hair had seemingly changed colors overnight was because she liked Carrot Top. The only Halloween costumes he would buy his children were Britney Spears  and Magic Mike. And we’re not talking about Britney Spears circa 1999, we’re talking Britney Spears after a three day bender in the aftermath of making out with Madonna. After accidently overfeeding and killing the family goldfish, he flushed the corpse and then taped a sign to the empty fish bowl that read “Gone Fishin”. When his son asked him for help with his school science project, Winston told him to build a volcano and fill it with Mentos and Pepsi, but not to mix the two until it was time for the presentation....

South Park: As Performed by Robin Williams

Posted by on August 20, 2013 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

When “South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut” was released to movie theaters in 1999, it caused an uproar. Many so called moral people, who were already unimpressed by the cartoon 8-year-olds and their rather adult words and actions, were positively appalled when the chains of TV language were removed and the cursing, violence, and sex went full bore. Kind of funny when you consider the movie itself was about American culture reacting in just such a way onscreen as they did in real life (with some obvious exaggerations of course: we all know Conan O’Brien loves himself far too much to jump out of a window.) Needless to say, it came as a surprise when the song “Blame Canada” from the film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. In those days, it was customary to have a live performance of all the nominated songs at the awards show before the winner was announced. This became a problem not only because of the obvious censorship problems, but also because Mary Kay Bergman, the voice actress that had sang all of the female parts of the song, had committed suicide several months before. Thus, who else would Trey Parker and Matt Stone ask to step in and sing the modified version of the song for them at the show, but Robin Williams? The master of improv put on a fantastic performance which made it all the more sad that the song eventually lost out to, of all people, Phil Collins....

How Much Is One Billion Dollars… Truly?

Posted by on August 16, 2013 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

One billion dollars… That’s a lot of money. That’s a lot of skrilla, son! But how much is it, truly? Like, do you even really know? Now, while this video might not be as funny on its own as some of the other videos we post, it’s educational. And you need to put a high priority on just how educational something can be. Especially in this case… you know why? Because this video can help teach you to appreciate the stuff that you’ve got, you heard me? YOU HEARD ME? Seriously, though, out of everything else, what this video really reaches me — or at least shows me — is just how much I need to be making one hundred g’s a year. You ain’t a straight boss until you’re making one hundred g’s a years — this is like… a scientific...
